A brief outline of our route is found here. Briefly out trip started in Kathmandu (the capital of Nepal), then we flow to Lhasa (the capital of Tibet). from Lhasa is was overland all the way on our mountain bikes back to Khatmandu, over the Himalayas, detouring to take in Mt Everest (base camp). A more detailed log can be found below:


Arrive in Kathmandu.
Cycling days on the ridges above Kathmandu and time for sightseeing and shopping.
Fly to Lhasa.
In Lhasa for sightseeing and acclimatisation. We will visit the Jokhang Temple, Barkor Square, Potala Palace, Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery.
Over the Khamba La and Karo La to Gyantse.
In Shigatse.
To the town of Shegar via the Tso La and Gyamtso La.
Detour into the Rongbuk Valley and the north base camp of Mount Everest.
Cycling down the Sun Kosi River Valley and across the Friendship Bridge to the hilltop town of Dhulikhel.
Return to Kathmandu.
Depart Kathmandu.
